Voorwoord
Stichting Iedul-Fitr Den Haag heeft in 2011 twee activiteiten georganiseerd voor alle bewoners uit de stad Den Haag. Deze activiteiten zijn de jaarlijks terugkerende Stadsiftar en Ramadanlezing. De Iedul-Fitr viering ging niet door vanwege tekort aan subsidie.
In dit jaarverslag kunt u lezen hoe deze twee activiteiten verlopen zijn. Tevens sluiten wij een financieel overzicht van het jaar 2011 bij.
Onze activiteiten zijn mede mogelijk gemaakt dankzij een financiële bijdrage van de Gemeente Den Haag uit het Fonds Burgerschap en van Fonds 1818.

Inleiding
In Nederland en in het bijzonder in Den Haag is door de jaren heen een multiculturele dynamische bevolking ontstaan doordat er vele mensen uit diverse culturen en religiën leven, werken en wonen. Door ontmoetingen en gezamenlijk activiteiten zijn veel mensen in aanraking gekomen met de verschillen binnen de diverse culturen die Den Haag rijk is.
Maar velen leven naast elkaar, hebben weinig kennis van elkaar en doen ook weinig samen. Zo ontstaan er veel vooroordelen over elkaar. Dit kan leiden tot stagnatie van participatie binnen de samenleving en komt niet ten goede aan burgerschap.
Van de vele religiën is de Islam er een die zwaar onder druk staat door negatieve aandacht in de media en in de politiek.
Over de Islam zijn veel debatten georganiseerd en discussies gevoerd met verschillende personen via de media.
De Islam is een verdraagzame, tolerante en vredesgodsdienst, maar deze kant komt helaas nauwelijks naar voren in de media.
Er zijn nog steeds onduidelijkheden en er is nog altijd veel discussie gaande over de Islam en degenen die deze godsdienst belijden. Deze en nog vele andere ontwikkelingen hebben in 2008 geleid tot oprichting van Stichting Iedul-Fitr Den Haag met als doel activiteiten te organiseren om de negatieve beeldvorming over de Islam te doorbreken en burgerschap te bevorderen.

Het bestuur bestaat uit vijf personen.

Vergaderingen:
Het bestuur vergaderde 14 maal in 2011 waarbij de volgende onderwerpen zijn behandeld:
- ontwikkelingen in de Haagse samenleving in het algemeen en in het bijzonder van de moslims bespreken,
- bespreken van de visie en werkwijze van de stichting en daar waar het nodig is bijstellen huishoudelijk reglement,
- opbouwen netwerk intern en extern, ontwikkelen van een activiteitenprogramma 2011,
- ontwikkelen en uitwerken van activiteiten,
- subsidie aanvragen en voorzien in randvoorwaarden hiervoor,
- samenwerken met de Gemeente en relevante organisaties,
- voorwaardenscheppende onderdelen van de activiteiten, (activiteitenruimte, artiesten, sprekers, catering, persbericht, posters, uitnodigingen, flyers etc.)
- bespreken draaiboeken en begrotingen van de activiteiten financiële stand van zaken algemeen,
- diverse zaken
ACTIVITEITEN
Net zoals de voorgaande jaren vanaf 2008, heeft stichting Iedul-Fitr ook in 2011 activiteiten georganiseerd om de van te voren vastgestelde doelstellingen te realiseren. Deze activiteiten zijn:
RAMADANLEZING 2011
In 2011 werd voor de vierde keer door de stichting Iedul-Fitr ramadan lezing georganiseerd op zondag 28 augustus 2011 in het Atrium van het Stadhuis aan het Spui.
Het thema van de lezing was “Islam is meer dan integratie,”. Hiervoor hadden we hoogleraar Prof. Dr. J.T. Sunier van de Universiteit Amsterdam, de heer Mohamed Ajouaou theoloog en religiewetenschapper en de heer Rabijn Soetendorp uitgenodigd.

18.00-18.30 uur: uur inloop
18.30 uur: start van het programma met: lezing over de thema: ”Islam is meer dan integratie” met als discussieleider de heer Jaen-Marie van Drakenstein. Hiervoor hebben wij hoogleraar Prof. Dr. J.T. Sunier van de Universiteit Amsterdam, de heer Mohamed Ajouaou theoloog en religiewetenschapper en de heer Rabijn Soetendorp uitgenodigd.

19.30 uur: Forumdiscussie
20.30 uur: Sluiting
Doelstelling van de lezing was:
Het informeren van Hagenaars over de Islam om negatieve beeldvorming hierover te doorbreken en saamhorigheid tussen Moslims en niet-Moslims te bevorderen.
Het bieden van mogelijkheid aan Moslims en niet Moslims om kennis te vergaren over de Islam en zo vooroordelen te vermijden en te zoeken naar overeenkomsten tussen de vele religiën om zo te komen tot één Haags familie die in saamhorigheid leeft binnen Den Haag.
Behaalde resultaten:
Middels de lezing is informatie gegeven aan Hagenaars over de Islam als verdraagzame, tolerante en vredesgodsdienst,
Er is informatie gegeven over:
- de belevenis van de Islam binnen de Europese Cultuur,
- mensen raakten in gesprek met elkaar over het nut en de noodzaak om met elkaar in
gesprek te blijven,
- In het oog hebben dat krachten in het land mensen niet uit elkaar drijven
- waarom de Moslims tijdens de Ramadan gaan vasten,
STADSIFTAR 2011
Na de lezing volgt de Stads-iftar. Een Iftar is een maaltijd tijdens de Ramadanperiode waarmee het vasten na zonsondergang verbroken wordt. Voor deze speciale Stadsiftar zijn dit jaar wegens bezuinigingen slechts 300 mensen uitgenodigd maar waren rond 350 Hagenaars, moslims en niet-moslims aanwezig om samen de maaltijd te nuttigen en met elkaar kennis te maken.
Het doel van dit evenement was dat er spontane contacten ontstaan die uiteindelijk kunnen leiden tot een duurzame samenwerking tussen Hagenaars die elkaar in eerste instantie niet direct zouden ontmoeten zonder het bijwonen van deze Iftar bijeenkomst.
Stichting Iedul-Fitr Den Haag bestaat vier jaar en organiseert jaarlijks behalve de Stadsiftar, ook een Iedul-Fitr viering (Suikerfeest) en een lezing over de Ramadan. Alle activiteiten van de stichting zijn erop gericht een bijdrage te leveren aan Burgerschap in Den Haag en omgeving. Doch door bezuinigingen en het gebrek aan financiële middelen kan de Iedul Fitr viering (Suikerfeest) dit jaar helaas geen doorgang vinden.
Een belangrijk aspect van Burgerschap is het tot stand brengen van een (duurzaam) contact tussen verschillende groepen Hagenaars, van verschillende leeftijd, afkomst, geloofsovertuiging en sekse. Alle activiteiten van de Stichting Iedul-Fitr zijn gericht op dit aspect. De Ramadantijd is een goede gelegenheid hiervoor omdat de Ramadan niet alleen in het teken van het vasten staat, maar voor veel mensen ook een maand van gezelligheid en ontmoeting is. Ontmoeting tussen Haagse Moslims onderling en tussen Haagse Moslims en niet- Moslims. Met onze activiteiten willen we dit aspect in de praktijk brengen.
Stichting Iedul-Fitr heeft met de Stadsiftar onderstaande resultaten geboekt:
- Een gelegenheid tot ontmoeting gecreëerd voor alle Hagenaars om elkaar in een ontspannen sfeer beter te leren kennen,
- Dialoog tussen alle Hagenaars gestimuleerd en bevorderd,
- Een bijdrage geleverd aan het bevorderen van burgerschap,
- Bekendheid gegeven aan de Islam als vredesgodsdienst.

If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

It really is all about social media marketing and gaming the Kindle ranking system. Throw in some solid customer service tips (for working with your readers) and that’s about it. I feel like 40% of the book wasn’t necessary because he’s telling you what a great system he has, if he just told us the principles and why they were valuable the book would be much shorter. I would recommend this book for $1, but not for $5. Then again, if you know nothing about social media marketing or how items get on the Kindle best seller list you’ll probably learn a handful of things.
