Hierbij ontvangt u ons jaarverslag 2009.
U vindt in dit jaarverslag informatie over onze organisatie, ons werkgebied, onze activiteiten in 2009 en een kort financieel overzicht.
Deze activiteiten zijn mede mogelijk gemaakt dankzij een financiële bijdrage van de Gemeente Den Haag en Fonds 1818
Stichting Iedul-Fitr heeft al twee jaar achter elkaar bijzondere en succesvolle activiteiten georganiseerd voor de Haagse bewoners. Dit verslag is een terugblik op 2009.

Inleiding
Stichting Iedul-Fitr ervaart 2009 als een vruchtbaar jaar. Het organiseren van een drietal activiteiten rond de Ramadan moest in een kort tijdsbestek gebeuren. Heel veel energie, inzet en teamgeest was nodig om waar te maken waar de Stichting Iedel-Fitr voor stond met haar activiteiten. De ervaringen die we vorig jaar hebben opgedaan, hebben een grote rol gespeeld bij de organisatie van dit jaar. Dit heeft ervoor gezorgd dat we activiteiten nog professioneler aan konden pakken en nog meer Hagenaars konden betrekken.
Stichting Iedul-Fitr heeft nog een lange weg te gaan als het gaat om het ware gezicht van de Islam te laten zien aan de Hagenaars. De Islam is een verdraagzame, tolerante en vredesgodsdienst, maar deze eigenschappen komen nauwelijks naar voren in de media en in de politiek. Van de vele religiën is de Islam er een, die zwaar onder druk staat door negatieve aandacht in de media en in de politiek. Negatieve berichtgeving over de Islam wordt gebruikt als middel om sensatie te veroorzaken, kijk en lees- cijfers te bevorderen en stemmen te winnen van onwetende en ongeruste Nederlandse burgers. De gemeenteraadsverkiezingen op 3 maart 2010 staan voor de deur en dit zal weer tot discussies over de Islam leiden. Het referendum in Zwitserland over de minaretten is olie op het vuur en beïnvloedt de denkbeelden van onwetende Nederlanders. Door deze en nog vele andere negatieve ontwikkelingen realiseren wij ons we geen gemakkelijk doel hebben om de negatieve beeldvorming over de Islam te doorbreken en burgerschap te bevorderen.
Tot slot: Nederland is door de jaren heen een multiculturele dynamische samenleving geworden waar vele Nederlanders uit diverse culturen en religiën naast elkaar leven, werken en wonen. De naam Islam is afgeleid van Salaam, wat vrede betekent. Islam als vredegodsdienst past heel goed binnen de Europese en Nederlandse samenleving.
1. Organisatie:
Stichting Iedul-Fitr is in 2008 opgericht met als doelstelling het bevorderen van burgerschap en mede het behartigen van de belangen van iedere Haagse burger in het algemeen en van de moslims in het bijzonder. Stichting Iedul-Fitr informeert de Haagse burgers over de Islam om negatieve beeldvorming te doorbreken en saamhorigheid tussen moslims en niet-moslims te stimuleren. De stichting wil de positieve kanten van de Islam onder de aandacht brengen en laten zien dat het een godsdienst van vrede is.
Hiernaast streeft de stichting ernaar bekendheid geven aan en promoten van Islamitische kunst en cultuur
1.2. Bestuur:
Het bestuur bestaat uit vijf personen die ieder afgevaardigde zijn van een zelforganisatie. De bestuursleden zijn:

Vice-Voorzitter: Osman Çakici (adviseur Turkse Platform Den Haag en andere Turkse organisaties, o.a. Turkse-Azerbeidzjaanse Culturele Vereniging en Turkse Vereniging Bouwlust)
Secretaris: Annie Jahangir Alibaks ( van S.C.V.V.AASRA )
Penningmeester: Rin Partoredjo ( van Stichting Roekoen Islam )
Mekka Abdelgabar: bestuurslid ( van Stichting VOND )
1.3. Werkterreinen:
- het initiëren en organiseren van activiteiten die verband houden met de maand Ramadan en het Iedul-Fitr.
- het organiseren en in stand houden van een Iedul-fitr viering in Gemeente Den Haag. (door middel van subsidies, donaties en andere opbrengsten )
- het jaarlijks organiseren en in stand houden van de stadsiftar.
- het organiseren en doen organiseren van exposities, lezingen en andere activiteiten op het gebied van hedendaagse kunst.
- het bieden van mogelijkheden aan Hagenaars om kennis te maken met andere religieuze en culturele activiteiten.
1.4. Vergaderingen:
Het bestuur vergaderde 12 maal in 2008 waarbij de volgende onderwerpen zijn behandeld:
- ontwikkelen van een activiteitenprogramma 2009
- ontwikkelen en uitwerken van activiteiten,
- subsidie aanvragen en voorzien in randvoorwaarden hiervoor,
- zoeken van sponsors
- samenwerken met de Gemeente en relevante organisaties,
- voorwaardenscheppende onderdelen van de activiteiten, (activiteitenruimte, artiesten, sprekers, catering, persbericht, posters, uitnodigingen, flyers etc.)
- bespreken draaiboeken en begrotingen van de activiteiten
- financiële stand van zaken algemeen,
2. Activiteiten
Om de doelstellingen te behalen heeft de Stichting ook in 2009 in en rondom de vastenmaand Ramadan een drietal activiteiten georganiseerd. Te weten;
2.1. Lezing over de Ramadan
De eerste activiteit van Stichting. Iedul-Fitr in 2009 was de Ramadanlezing.
Deze werd gehouden op zondag 6 september in de Julianakerk aan de Schalk Burgerstraat 217 in samenwerking met vrouwenvereniging AASRA
Het thema van de dag was:” Hoe kan religie een rol spelen om mensen met elkaar te binden in de samenleving.
De lezing begon meet een openingstoespraak door de voorzitter dhr. Mouttahid van de stichting en vervolgens een toespraak door Wethouder Rabin Baldewsingh over burgerschap. Wethouder sprak zijn lof uit over de organisatie en dat er zoveel Multi-culturaliteit aan bewoners aanwezig was van jong tot oud.
Er waren 3 sprekers uitgenodigd:
1 Dhr. Nico Landman, hoogleraar Universiteit Utrecht
2 Hhr. Remi Soekirman, Islamoloog en Imam.
3 Mevr. Elizabeth den Boer, Hoogleraar Universiteit Leiden
Alle drie sprekers hebben het onderwerp vanuit hun kennis en visie op tafel gelegd.
Na de lezing was er voldoende tijd om vragen te stellen en er ontstond een discussie die niet beperkt bleef tot de Ramadan.
Het ging ook over het dagelijkse leven en enkele taboes bij de moslim, zoals homoseksualiteit.
De heer Soekirman ging meer op het praktische gedeelte van burgerschap in en vond de tijd te kort om nog op andere afwijkende vragen in te gaan. Hij beloofde er bij een volgende bijeenkomst uitgebreid over te praten en tekst en uitleg te geven.
Mevrouw Den Boer belichtte burgerschap vanuit het Hindoeïsme en gaf tekst en uitleg.
De bijdrage van de heer Landman over de rol van de religie in de samenleving was geweldig. Na de lezing gaf de dagvoorzitter een korte samenvatting van hetgeen alle drie sprekers gezegd hadden.
Hierna volgde er vragen uit de zaal. Alle drie sprekers kregen heel veel vragen. Sommigen aanwezigen in de zaal kwamen zelfs niet aan de beurt door de vele vingers die de lucht in gingen.
De opkomst was dit jaar overweldigend. Er waren rond 220 mensen vanuit vele culturen aanwezig en hun bijdrage was bijzonder groot. Er werden meer overeenkomsten ontdekt dan verschillen. Plus- en minpunten richting burgerschap werden genoemd. Ook werden er oplossingen bedacht.
Zo riep een mijnheer uit de zaal dat men liever preventief de jongeren aanpakt, dan dat men er later zoveel geld voor beschikbaar moet stellen om weer positief gedrag te ontwikkelen. In het gezin wordt de basis gelegd door de opvoeding. De ouders ondersteunen bij de opvoeding zou een goede zaak zijn. De moskeeën, kerken en tempels zouden ook hun bijdrage kunnen leveren. Er is respect voor de priester, pandit of Imam en vanuit die hoek kan men veel bereiken.
Een grote ingang kan ook de school zijn.
Een goed voorbeeld (ouders )doet goed volgens zei iemand en dat is zeker waar.
Rond 19.30 begon de Iftar maaltijd die door stichting AASRA verzorgd werd. Bij de maaltijd gingen de gesprekken door. Al met al was het een geslaagde bijeenkomst die zeker voor herhaling vatbaar is.
Met dank aan de vrijwilligers van AASRA voor het verzorgen van de maaltijd.
Doelstelling van de lezing is:
Het informeren van Hagenaars over de Islam om negatieve beeldvorming hierover te doorbreken en saamhorigheid tussen moslims en niet-moslims te bevorderen.
Het bieden van mogelijkheid aan moslims en niet-moslims om kennis te vergaren over de Islam en zo vooroordelen te vermijden en het zoeken naar overeenkomsten tussen de vele religiën om zo te komen tot één Haags familie die in saamhorigheid leeft binnen Den Haag.
2.2. Stads-Iftar
De Stads-Iftar werd gehouden in het Atrium van het stadhuis op zaterdag 12 september
Hoewel het in het begin leek alsof er niet veel mensen zouden komen, was deze avond in vergelijking met vorig jaar uiteindelijk nog drukker bezocht. Bij de poort moesten zelfs enkele bezoekers de toegang geweigerd worden omdat ze zonder uitnodiging kwamen en de zaal helaas vol was.
Het publiek was zeer multicultureel van samenstelling en verschillend in leeftijd en dat was ook de bedoeling van deze avond. Onder de aanwezigen waren o.a. burgemeester van Aartsen en wethouder Baldewsingh en zij hebben een toespraak gehouden.
De muzikale achtergrond werd verzorgd door de band Casa Express. De catering werd dit keer verzorgd door een externe cateraar.
Dit verliep dit jaar dan ook beter dan vorig jaar, hoewel er ook nu een paar minpunten waren die wij bij de evaluatie hebben besproken.
De intentie van deze avond was om gezamenlijk de Iftar maaltijd te nuttigen en hierdoor met elkaar in contact te komen. Er waren in totaal 492 mensen aanwezig uit de diverse geledingen
Veel aanwezigen hebben aangegeven dat ze de Stadsiftar zeer geslaagd vonden en dat het voor hen een bijdrage geleverd heeft aan de samenhorigheid in de stad. Van alle kanten heeft ons bestuur dan ook gehoord dat de Stadsiftar een structureel terugkerende activiteit zou moeten zijn Daarom wil Stichting Iedul-Fitr de Stadsiftar jaarlijks organiseren, zodat deze zinvolle bijeenkomst met zoveel mogelijk Hagenaars gedeeld kan worden om ons met zijn allen Hagenaar te voelen.
Doelstelling van de Stadsiftar:
Het creëren van een sociale ontmoeting tussen Hagenaars van diverse achtergronden en het leveren van een bijdrage aan het proces van burgerschap.
Het behaalde resultaat:
- het heeft een bijdrage geleverd aan het ontwikkelen en onderhouden van sociale contacten tussen Hagenaars van verschillende afkomst,
- het heeft de mogelijkheid gecreëerd om ervaringen uit te wisselen/elkaar te leren kennen terwijl men genoot van de Iftar-maaltijd,
- de kennis over de islam bij de niet-moslims is vergroot,
- het verbroederingsproces tussen moslims en niet-moslims is op gang gebracht,
2.3. Iedul-Fitr Viering
De Iedul-Fitr Viering werd gehouden op zondag 27 september 2009 in de Houtzagerij aan de Hobbemastraat. De opkomst was zeer goed. Er waren rond 630 Hagenaars, jong en oud en van allerlei afkomst. De viering verliep op een harmonieuze manier.
Het programma bood voor elk wat wils, zowel voor oude als nieuwe Hagenaars en voor jongeren en ouderen. De bezoekers waren enthousiast over het feit dat er een Iedul-fitr viering georganiseerd was met een duidelijk Haags accent en met zoveel variatie in het programma. De sfeer op de viering was er dan ook een van verbroedering.
Voor de kinderen was er dit jaar meer te doen dan vorig jaar. Zo was er een ballonnenclown.
Ook de optredens vielen in goede aarde bij het publiek
De Marokkaanse band trok veel jongeren die zich bij de muziek flink konden uitleven. De band kreeg, op verzoek van de jongeren, toestemming om nog enkele nummers te zingen. De jongeren waren zo enthousiast dat er zelfs een groepje zich bij het bestuur meldde om volgend jaar mee te helpen met de organisatie. Wat ook nog opviel is dat jongens en meisjes samen gingen dansen.
Daar deze happening tot laat in de middag duurde, was het goed dat er voor de nodige lekkere hapje was gezorgd.
Veel mensen gingen bij het eten van de hapjes met elkaar in gesprek. Ook in de zaal werd er flink met elkaar gesproken. Het samen genieten van de optredens bracht het publiek naar elkaar toe.
De wethouder hield een toespraak over burgerschap die bij de aanwezigen erg in de smaak viel. “Hij heeft gelijk. Samen maken wij de stad en de stad is van ons allen.” zei iemand in de zaal.
De organisatie kreeg heel veel complimenten van de bezoekers. Qua organisatie, opkomst en de bijdrage van de aanwezigen is deze dag ook goed geslaagd.
De doelstelling:
Het organiseren van een Iedul-Fitr viering voor alle Hagenaars, waar moslims en niet-moslims gezamenlijk de afsluiting van de Ramadan vieren, elkaar beter leren kennen, dingen samen doen en zich allemaal Haags voelen.
Tot slot:
Stichting Iedul-Fitr heeft haar best gedaan om zoveel mogelijk de genoemde activiteiten goed te organiseren. Niet alles lip echter altijd zoals het moest. Naast positieve punten waren er uiteraard ook leermomenten. De Pr activiteiten zijn naar onze mening niet altijd vlekkeloos geweest. Dit zien we als een verbeterpunt voor volgend jaar. Wij willen een organisatie zijn die zichzelf constant een spiegel voor houdt en leert van de ervaringen. Wij willen transparant zijn en staan open voor alle opbouwende kritiek. De opkomst was beter dan vorig jaar.
De andere verbeterpunten zijn:
- op tijd reserveren van ruimtes
- betere afspraken maken met de beveiliging bij de Iedul-Fitr viering
Wij willen graag ook in 2010 en 2011 weer succesvolle activiteiten organiseren.
Hierbij verwachten we een open en goede communicatie met de afdeling Burgerschap van de gemeente Den Haag. Door miscommunicatie hebben wij twee jaar achter elkaar echt problemen ondervonden om tot een inhoudelijke afstemming te komen.
Tevens konden we door een te late beslissing over de subsidie, niet eerder beginnen met de voorbereidingen zoals het huren van de nodige ruimtes, materialen en contracteren van personen.
Wij hopen in 2010 dan ook op een betere samenwerking met de gemeente zonder miscommunicatie.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
